Resort-Style Garden with Fire Lounge

This design set out to answer one question: can a private garden genuinely feel like a resort? The answer is in the layering. Elevated stone steps with recessed LED strips, geometric paving softened by grass insets, and contemporary furniture arranged the way a hotel landscape architect would place it, deliberately, with room to breathe.

The planting mixes two worlds. Tropical palms and structured shrubs give the lushness, while feature rocks and arid-climate elements ground the design in its desert context. Sculptural centrepieces punctuate the walks, so the garden reveals something new at every turn rather than showing everything at once.

The social heart is the fire lounge: an L-shaped outdoor sofa wrapped around a central fire table, made for long evenings outside. Lighting was designed as a feature in its own right, with strips, spots and washes placed to build privacy and depth after dark.
