Contemporary Villa Grounds & Pool Deck

This was a whole-grounds project: not one feature garden, but the complete outdoor environment of a contemporary villa, front to back. The plan balances three ingredients, hardscape for circulation and living, lawn for openness, and planted borders for softness and privacy, so no single element dominates the plot.

The rear garden carries the lifestyle. A rectangular swimming pool anchors it, flanked by a timber deck with lounge chairs and a covered pergola seating zone, giving the family a sun space and a shade space side by side. It is a simple arrangement that works every day of the year, which is exactly the point.

At the front, a clear driveway and entrance path lead to the building through linear landscape elements that set the tone before the door opens. We documented this one thoroughly, and the gallery walks you around the grounds view by view: the deck, the pool, the borders and the way each zone hands over to the next.
