Contemporary Villa Landscape Master Plan

Most landscape plans in Dubai follow straight lines. For this villa we went the other way. The whole master plan is built on soft, flowing curves: planting beds that sweep around the architecture, walkways that bend rather than turn, and green islands that make the garden feel grown rather than drawn. Against the villa's clean modern geometry, those organic forms are what give the property its resort character.

We organised the plot into clear zones that each earn their place. The arrival experience comes first: a modern driveway with covered parking, decorative landscape islands and feature planting that make a first impression before anyone reaches the door. From there, a spacious paved courtyard acts as the entrance plaza, the calm transition point between public street and private garden.

The outdoor living side of the plan is where the family actually spends its evenings. A lounge zone with a modern outdoor sofa sits beside a dining space that seats eight to ten, positioned for easy access to the indoor kitchen. Around the rest of the villa we placed garden pockets, feature lawns and curved planting islands so that every room looks out onto something green.

Materials stay quiet throughout: large-format porcelain, light limestone, dark decorative gravel and black steel edging. The restraint is intentional. When the hardscape whispers, the layered tropical planting, date palms and washingtonias overhead with dense shrubs below, becomes the show.
